 Uninstalling Your Launcher on Android


If you’ve decided to uninstall your launcher from your Android device, follow the steps below. Make sure to remove your launcher as your default launcher before proceeding with the uninstallation.


Approach 1: Through Settings

1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.

2. Scroll down and tap on Apps or Apps & notifications.

3. Find and tap on your launcher in the list of installed apps.

4. Tap on Uninstall and confirm the action.

Approach 2: From the Home Screen

1. Long-press the launcher icon on your home screen.

2. Drag the icon to the Uninstall option that appears at the top of the screen.

3. Confirm the uninstallation.

Approach 3: Through the Google Play Store

1. Open the Google Play Store app.

2. Tap on the Menu (three lines) in the top-left corner.

3. Select My apps & games and find your launcher.

4. Tap on Uninstall and confirm.

Troubleshooting Tips

Cannot uninstall? Make sure your launcher is not set as your default launcher. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Home App and select another launcher before uninstalling.

Still having issues? Restart your device and try uninstalling again.




Reminder: Always ensure that your launcher is no longer set as your default launcher before uninstalling to avoid complications.
